Butuan City – It has been reported in the local news that the driver of the Black SUV involved in the hit-and-run accident last February 7, 2019 that caused the death of young doctor, Dr. Zuriele Gonzalez Arambulo has voluntarily surrendered.

Mr. Charlie Prior, a Christian pastor, surrendered at 11:00 AM of February 13, 2019 at the Agusan Del Norte Police Provincial Office six days after the incident.  He was accompanied by his neighbor who is a policeman and he admitted having hit the young doctor in Santiago, Agusan del Norte.

The police authorities are happy about the voluntary surrender of Pastor Prior so that he can face the consequences of the crime he has committed.  Col. Perlas of the PNP clarified that before the surrender of Pastor Prior, all owners of SUVs and Monteros were considered persons of interest.

The vehicle of Pastor Prior was recovered and brought to Police Regional Office – 13.

Pastor Prior asked forgiveness to the family of the victim, saying the delay in his surrender is due to the fact that he was scared and did not know what to do.  According to him, he only waited for the right time to surrender.
